The Little Minister is set in Thrums, a Scottish weaving village based on Barrie's birthplace, and concerns Gavin Dishart, a young impoverished minister with his first congregation. The weavers he serves soon riot in protest against reductions in their wages and harsh working conditions.
CONDITION: Beautiful light teal linen textured boards with gilt flower detailing on the front cover. Gilt lettering and floral detail on the spine. Slight crushing on the corners. Hinges are cracked but in tact.Small stain on upper right corner of front cover. Text block is secure. Ex Libris. Inscription on front endpaper and small tear on top corner of endpaper. Heavily deckled page edges. Illustrated.
